I found an old Chinese an old carved wooden panel for sale, and I'm trying to find more info about the story behind its motif. I've seen the same basic motif in a couple other pieces online. For example, here is a very similar (almost EXACTLY the same) one I found online. (The attached photo was assembled using three different pics, so the perspective may be a little wonky.)
Both pieces (the one I've found as well as the one pictured below) have the same imagery — horses and horsemen at each end, some kind of castle courtyard gathering, a large lectern or table at the middle with a central figure (king?) along with someone to the immediate right holding a fan for the central figure, etc.
Even the symbols and geometric patterns are identical and show in the same places, including the large scroll work that surrounds the entire scene.
I'm bursting with curiosity over what the motif may be featuring, so please offer your thoughts on the subject. I'd greatly appreciate it.
PS — Size is approximately 84" long x 14" high x 2" thick.

You would need to post clearer and more detailed pictures of the plaque including a close up of the figures and images of the back.

Thanks in advance for any thoughts or info on this piece.I only know that the previous owner bought it at an antique shop in Portland Oregon as a birthday gift to herself. (She's now 86 and recently moved away. She sold almost all her possessions before moving, and his was the last one that she let go.)

The last photo shows a man holding up a large tablet with three characters “Hundred Patience Hall”
likely refers to Bai Ren Tang (百忍堂), a hall associated with the legendary story of the Zhang family of northern China in the Tang dynasty, though it does not have its own Wikipedia entry. The name translates to "The Hall of One Hundred Patience".

The Legend of Zhang Bairen is so very fascinating, and this is certainly a depiction of the wedding ceremony along with the main characters in the story.
Oh! And I discovered that the kanji above the center figure means "happiness."
Now all I have to do is figure out a way to roughly date this carving. Any ideas? (I know it's at least pre-1985, because that's when the previous owner purchased it from an antique store.)

By the way... I'm still on the fence about keeping it, since it doesn't quite fit the space of my little townhome. (It's a whopping 7 feet long! LOL) If I decide to list it on eBay, how do I properly describe it? I'd hate to accidentally use the wrong word(s) and mislead anyone.
I'm thinking that the following keywords would be safe to use: Vintage, Chinese, Hand-Carved, Wooden, Panel, Wall Art. Maybe mention what is probably a worn red lacquer tint? Other than that, what should I say that would most accurately describe whatever this big thing is? LOL
