Lauren Gallery Responds To BidAmount Comments | Questionable Chinese Art

Lauren Gallery Roswell Gallery Responds to Inquiry

Lauren Gallery defends selling chinese fakesJust a short 24 hours ago we posted a blog about the Lauren Gallery in regards to their April 21 and 22nd  "Chinese Antiques Auction" of suspected resproductions.

Yesterday in our opinion piece we also speculated the "Lauren Gallery" looked and sounded an awful lot like the "Eden Gallery" located just down the road in Marietta. Same kinds of photos, same kinds of items, same vague inaccurate descriptions.  After seeing the reply below, I think we can assume they are the same people. (*Maybe not, but it seems extremely likely.)

The Lauren Gallery sale in our opinion is so packed with what appears to us blatant reproductions it almost defies description.

Lauren Gallery Responds To BidAmount Comments About Their Auction

A fellow contacted them inquiring to see what they knew about the post we put up regarding all the reproductions we think they are selling. He then forwarded it all to me.

Below is the exchange and what was sent to yours truly:

Hi Mr. Peter,

This is the answer to my question from the Lauren Gallery auction house ;).

I asked them if they could give a response to the scam.

I checked to company….their facebook etc. It looks like a precious set up scan.  It’s just unbelievable what they are doing.

Succes with your business

This is how Lauren Gallery replied. (click image to read, it's quite amusing)

Lauren Gallery auction fake Chinese antiques

We've seen this kind of eMail before, from EDEN Gallery~!

Lauren Gallery's nearly illiterate response which also referred to the wrong auction was virtually identical to the ones that were made to inquiries of the old Eden Gallery's auction. Many of our readers sent them to me. The wording similarities are really quite good confirmation of who these folks likely are.

Following the Eden Gallery's disastrous auction(s), we followed their advice to check back after the objects "spoke for themselves"..the results were frankly laughable. Oh and Yes, of course, we did a blog about that sale and its abysmal results, many items were also never paid for as well judging by the emails we got from grateful folks who the saw the blogs we did before paying their invoices.

We have no doubt this sale will be a disaster yet again under the circus tent being run under the Lauren Gallery banner. The only thing missing is the cotton candy sellers. Yes, of course, we'll follow up with pictures and results and ccompare prices to known authentic items sold by reputable auction firms.

We can hardly wait for the results! Check back for a full report!

Peter, to show no remorse is just disgusting. They deserve what comes next. There is no saving them from a diminished reputation and a complete loss of client trust. Pitifull they are.
    Keep doing what you do!

We’re just doing our bit..and they aren’t happy about it. I do hope they saw the post auction video though, we picked the music just for them. https://youtu.be/z3MRvcaJSfY
Thanks to you for your support and kind words.
    Best Peter
