The Bidamount Asian Art-Antiques Newsletter has Expanded

Since starting the Asian Art-Antiques Newsletter here on Bidamount a couple years ago, it's grown.

As many of you known we've gone from a weekly e-mailed Newsletter page linked to our favorite things currently on eBay to a permanent page on the site.  While the on-site page serves the same basic purpose as the previously emailed " Asian Art-Antiques Newsletter" the change enabled us to add other aspects involving Asian antiques as well as including considerably more content.

We, of course, continue to send out weekly notifications on Saturday night letting our subscribers know the page for the upcoming week is ready and done. If you're not already getting it, sign up here today.

Asian Art-Antiques Newsletter, What We've Added

The extra space afforded by having it on the site allowed us to add:

  • Asian Art and Culture News Feed
  • Prices Realized page for eBay items,
  • A featured blog each week.
  • A link to the eBay News Feed
  • A Video Link on Chinese Antiques
  • Present items in a Catalog format with an expandable lightbox for viewing images.

Also having it on the site, allows us, as needed, to perform updates or changes that were impossible with the E-mailed version. (we do make mistakes once in awhile)

So Whats Next? The Options Are Many

Advertising: In the last year, we've been asked by a number of dealers and even a couple auction houses if we might accept paid advertisements.  This is something we would, of course, have to VET in order to avoid letting the site's landscape turn into a mess like "Live Auctioneers" and other sites. Perhaps in time.

Dealer Pages: Other sellers on eBay have asked about renting a page on the site where they could discuss and promote things they plan on or are currently selling.

Selling on the site: Also and quite naturally, the topic of adding some kind of selling area has come up on numerous occasions. Your thoughts on this are very welcome, what would interest you?

At some point, we may do some or all of them if we think it will take the site in the right direction.

Any suggestions from visitors are welcome on what you would like to see on here. Lets us know.!

In the meantime, we'll keep adding blogs and new pages, doing our best to follow the natural direction indicated by traffic and things that interest our visitors.
