@greeno107 Oh great, I'm so happy to hear it. It has been cropped on the bottom and the left as I recall, so I imagine that would impact value. Do you have a sense of that aspect of damage/alteration to potential value? Also, should the washi paper be removed or left on?
@johnshoe It appears that the censor seals didn't start to be used until 1790-91, so this suggests that the practice might not yet have been uniform at the time your print was made - I assume you don't have a date for it. I'm glad to see that Greeno feels it is genuine. I think it is very beautiful. John, are you thinking of removing it yourself? I wouldn't be anything like confident or competent enough. If it is something that has value - financial, artistic or cultural - it might be best left if you are thinking of selling it; let whoever buys it do that. Or take it to a good restorer or dealer and ask their opinion. If that backing is to protect the print, it is there for a purpose and probably best left or replaced if needed.
@saki2015 Again, thank you for the offer of help. I have taken a very close look and have identified it as a later edition (recarved around 1900, I think) of Summer Moon at Ryogoku Bridge. It has an identifying seal that the originals do not, it seems. So, I won't mind displaying it on an unlit wall where the sun can never reach it.
I do have so much more to learn! Starting today.

My two cents only because I sold an 2 albums. In Europe and the west collectors collected the prints from books. And would put them in an album like our old family albums they trimmed the print to fit the albums sticky page.
- @cashflowz Hi Carol, What a gorgeous design that is! I love it. You were asking about books. A good one is Adele Schlombs’ Hiroshige, published by Taschen. The reproductions are beautiful and I enjoyed her discussion.I also love a little book by Michael Uspensky, also called Hiroshige, published by Parkstine. Then there are big splendid books showing some of the various series. There’s just so much out there to read.

John, do you remember someone posting up a link to Artelino, maybe last year? I can't remember who it was, but I just got an email with a link to a video that may be interesting/useful.
I haven't had time to watch it yet, so apologies if it isn't - or if you get the emails, too, and have seen it.
I just watched it and found it very helpful. It is only short, but definitely worth watching if you haven't seen it.
