Folks, this 7 inch plate is advertised as late Ming, I believe it to be transitional, closer to Kangxi than Wanli. Thoughts
I have not seen one in kraak style quite like that before, but I found a fairly similar one on Etsy. The seller has it advertised as pre-2000, references a wide range of periods and styles, but I can't seem to see any opinion of the actual age, just an invitation to buyers to consider it may be older and a price implying the same. See what you think.

These are sometimes offered as early Kangxi. There's still the thick foot rim from Ming and you can already see the precursor of the Kangxi twig pattern on the back of the rim.

Kraak "style" dishes like yours are form the Dehua/Fujian kilns and are mostly considered to be 19th century.
Kangxi Kraak "style" plates are more refined and have more characteristically typical Kangxi backside decorations and foot rims.

Folks, thanks for your input. I bought the plate last night. I was really hoping it was early transitional kraak. But facts are facts, and your examples @kaolin can not be refuted. To my limited experience it had all the markings of transitional Kraak, the combination of Kangxi detail mixed with the quick freehand brush strokes of Ming. The body and the paste all looked good to me. And apparently to the dealer as well.
@Julia, your link supports my thinking when I bought and it might very well be what I have, I certainly hope so, and with @Brigit endorsement I would like to think my thinking at at least good. Maybe some of the other smart people will comment further, but as it stands the waters are murky. I either have a Victorian copy or a real transitional plate. I am into for only £60 all in so if it’s Victorian the price is about right if transitional I got a good deal. As our friend Peter says, “leave a bid” and so I did.
Ron
What you paid seems a reasonable price, Ron. The Etsy seller clearly is uncertain of what age it is and has covered all bases, advertising it as vintage but linking to earlier pieces inviting the comparison and a make up your own mind approach. From the pieces kaolin has posted, I would say those are good comparisons. I find some of the more "rough and ready" looking plates from the 19th c do have a Ming look to them; it makes them very attractive.
There still might be hope for my little plate, found this on the net

The possibility of it being older than 19th century is very strong, reading this, there is a strong possibility of it being Yongzheng/Qianlong or at least 18th century. There is an image of my plate in comparison to a Jingdezhen potted plate.
Ron
Thanks, that is an interesting link. I have a couple of similar plates, but the back is different.
Here is another obvious ‘to me now’ Dehua Kraak plate just like mine advertised as 18th century Jingdezhen. And just look at the asking. Wow.
Ron
