Wanli-marked vase, ~27 inches high — looking for engagement / opinions
Been in the family since the 70s or 80s. I know the form and composition read as modern/uniform, so it tends to get dismissed quickly — but the micro-details give me pause. Sharing them here in hopes of a real discussion.
Glaze & surface:

Burst bubble with a dark, near-black center surrounded by a distinct lighter brown halo

Green tint in the clear glaze where it pools thickly around the handles

Light orange halo along the bottom rim
-
What appears to be kiln sand on the bottom rim near the base — a light brown bump, rough to the touch
Handles:

One handle interior is unglazed, showing an orange hue with brown specks

The other handle interior is lightly glazed with what looks like crazing or peeling
Interior:

Orange stain on the interior neck wall — only visible under flash

Brown dots and specks, a couple of tears, and horizontal throwing ridges
Decoration:

One cloud in the landscape was outlined but never filled in with enamel
-
The cloud outlines are notably thick and raised — you can feel them with a fingertip; bubbling and pitting visible in the yellow and green enamels within the thicker clouds

Blue dragon scales show deliberate gradation: lighter blue at the base, mid-blue in the middle, concentrated dark dot at the top — though one leg has noticeably darker dots than the rest, and some scales appear more blended rather than sharply graded

The iron-red dragon fades from light pink at the belly to a dark, smudged red under the scales near the fin
