There is a broken Xuande mark period bowl for sale on eBay. Might give us an idea what the ewer can potentially be re-sold for if of the period.
There is also a nice ding plate that is stated to be Song dynasty in the description and estimated at only $800-$1000. That one would probably bring the best value for the money if you could get it for the estimated price since it's "guarenteed to be genuine"
Asian Art - Lot 116 - Waddingtons.ca
Dear Corey -
The Xuande 'marked' bowl been offered is not of the period - the overall painting style of the Chinese peony motif contains to many errors and betrays the hand of the copyist ...
Certain strokes within the 'Xuan' and 'Zhi' characters also contain mistakes ....
One would also question - when there is ample space - why the 'restorer' has obscured much of the mark with three rivets ...?!
I thought the Ding dish was nice looking as well, I like the clean colours and lines. Most of the items in this auction are priced a little beyond my means, but some appear to have interesting provenance, e.g., Murray and Ann Bell's collection, most of which was donated to the Gardiner Museum in Toronto

Since I started listening to Peter's videos, perhaps I've become overly suspicious about the accuracy of lot descriptions. (Even if the seller is not purposefully being deceitful they may not know any better).
Dear Corey -
My apologise - but no, I would not be interested in acquiring ...
This ewer is also wrong - the painting style of the peony blossoms, leaves, and classic scrolls is not of the XD period, and the writing of the mark displays to many stroke errors within several the characters ...
