No. I want you to show a genuine cadogan Song teapot of whatever shape.
Giovanni
Goivinni - All of mine are as authentic as you can get, but for some reason you are blind
richard severson
By the way, his name is Giovanni, not Goivinni. And the auction house is called Sotheby‘s, not Sotherby‘s.
Birgit
I think Richard is Peter having some fun with us ?
I think that the Administrator has to stop all this. The Forum have zero credibility if these things are allowed to run freely.
Giovanni
Hi Giovanni, yes I have an account there for a couple of years now. Richard reminds me of that Chinese guy with several accounts, 'SY'.
That elephant cadogan, along with it's fake shipwreck covering has got to be one of the most hilarious examples of something someone claims to be old that I have seen.
Best wishes.
Richard you can buy my base mystery filling Five Dynasty's or Northern Song Yue Dragon Tea or Wine Pot,it comes with it's original Song Dynasty brocade box.
It must be genuine,it says so on the box !
Shine - Yes that`s about all that`s on the market, New stuff, makes mine so rare
richard severson
And the genuine cadogan teapot of the Song dynasty? Where is it?
You are not honest, and it is incredible that you are allowed to continue polluting the Forum.
Giovanni
Goivanni - What`s incredible is that I share all my knowledge and collection and you try to tear down everything by biting my ankles
bitching, complaining, as if you are some expert, Forums would be terrible if only one sided like only Republicans or only Democrats point of view , You and your few clonies ruin it by constant negative comments, there are silent ones in the background watching and are afraid to comment because they don`t want to be ridiculed, I stand for those quiet ones and will fight all your type forever by myself if need be
This forum is not ran by you and neither are you the big king pin, what bothers you the most is me, I called you out and you will forever hate me and my things and all my comments
Your comment on the other person`s vase , you said you are a 100% sure it has nothing to do with Chinese, you did not say you think it has nothing to do with Chinese, you said it spite of my comment and others can see it clearly
You want a good fight then keep attacking me !
richard severson
For goodness sake, please can this stop?
Richard, I felt genuinely worried about you, then I felt totally confused by you, then I felt a little hurt and offended by your "joke" thread. I completely understand that you do not want to listen to what people say but no one hates you or your items. You are very welcome to share things you love.
However, may I politely suggest we consider that, from now on, unless you actually ask for an opinion, no one offers one. However, if you offer advice to other users that other people disagree with, then I hope you will be prepared to accept any civil disagreement with your view.
Sometimes it is interesting and exciting to generate a little heat in the midst of passionate discussion, but this has all gone too far and is not good for this forum. I would really like it if we could avoid any further unpleasantness. I know there is a lot of frustration on all sides, that it has at times spilled over the boundaries of acceptable comments, and I apologise if I fall into that bracket, but please, let's take a deep breath and move on.
I do hope I don't sound like I think I am the King Pin here, I am certainly no one's crony. I am simply here to learn what I can from the many contributors, including everyone in this thread, who generously give up their time to help people like me.
Best wishes,
Julia
It is very, very, very simple.
Saying that you share your knowledge here is a plain lie. When did you share knowledge? When you did support your fancy theories, based on nothing more than your phantasy? When did you support what you state for granted (this is a Song cobalt blue vase, this is a Song teapot copying Shang) with other examples from museums or big auction houses, or books? When did you provided an historical data? When did you show a confirmation of either one of your crazy theories with the documented approval from a real expert? NEVER. Have you understood? N-E-V-E-R, although repeatedly requested to do that. All your answers are the useless bla bla bla, but no references.
It is not me that are accusing you, it is your own behavior.
Instead, you are accusing me of believing myself of being THE expert. Show me when I said that. I never said that I am a great expert; and be sure that everything that I said here can be supported by the opinion of many experts, or books, or references. It may happen that I just say, for example, “this is Kangxi” without further explanation, but I do this when this is obvious to anyone with a bit of experience, and be sure that if I am requested to provide the reason for my assertion, I can provide that.
This is the BIG difference.
And it is not only me who is telling you that your things are no more than trash: it has been everyone who commented in your threads. Please verify that. Everyone.
The difference is that the others are by far much wiser than myself, and understood that arguing against you is a lost war, because you are not listening to anyone. You are not here to learn as everybody, including myself, is.
You are here for polluting the Forum.
Anyway, no problem. If this situation will not change, I will simply stop to participate here. I am here to share the bit that I know and to learn from others. This is only possible on a place that obey to some rules. If everybody is free to confuse things to the newcomer, that is no serious and not worth to spend time for it.
And to answer to your new thread about opinions, which is a further misleading step from you. We are not discussing opinions. It must not be an opinion saying that famille rose, for example, did not exist under Song, it must be a documented fact. To support the contrary is not an opinion, it is a stupidity because there are full evidences proving that it is not true.
Giovanni
Please don’t leave the forum because of this, Giovanni. You and a handful of others are the real experts here, there’s much to learn from you for everyone who’s willing. I‘ve been at Gotheborg for a few years, but it’s too academic for me, I seldom dared to offer my opinion there, being still a novice.
I think what Julia suggested is a good way to proceed. We stop commenting on Richard‘s collection, as he obviously does not want us to discuss, just to admire
I would very much like to stay in this forum with you all.
Best regards
Shinigami
Birgit
I concur with Shinigami, it would such a shame for you to leave this forum. As a new member I welcome opinions from a broad section of people with more knowledge than myself. We all have to understand that some people do not sugar coat their opinions and are so passionate about the subject, that sometimes we will all suffer disappointment. I would urge that we all continue to add value to this site and use it for what it is intended...to learn and share expertise.
BR Chris
Dear Shinigami and Chris,
thank you but I must make something clear. I realize now that what I said toward the end of my post may sound as a way to force Peter C. to take a decision, in the way like “take me or Richard”. PLEASE PLEASE in no way that has been my intention. I am not that kind of person. I was referring only to myself, considering my position here, and wishing a moderation by the Admin, by just making evidence that those threads are totally void of contribution and dangerously misleading.
Giovanni

The art of calligraphy - and for the ancient Chinese it certainly was an art - aimed to demonstrate superior control and skill using brush and ink.
