Hello, I’m guessing this 9” vase is late Qing? But what are the scenes… a baby dedication and shoe polishing, haha. Check out these shoes. I know attempts are made to date pieces by the faces. Does anyone ever date by the shoe style? Strange feet.
I agree with all the above. An attempt has been made to copy the distinctive late Qing eyes but it hasn't worked.
A strange mixture of Rose Mandarin faces from the late 19th century and strange elements like the pointed shoes. I have noticed that if a scene looks new and invented it usually is. In the late 19th century they still had a standard stock of topics, especially for the lower quality export pieces.

Seems all or most of you believe late 20th. I would have thought a Macau or other spurious mark if that were the case. Nicely potted and nice even finish around the foot. Hmm. Still had to get it for $2 to ask about the shoes and scene with the baby.
Also, to me the green looks right (which, I read on here is the worst on newer pieces) and the blue looks good. The red on the chair decoration looks good but the rust red and the yellow look a bit off. Thanks everyone for your expertise.
@centralpapottery the green enamel is the issue with me. It’s is not thick and controlled but thin and washed out but it could be the pictures.
@lotusblack ah, I see. I was just thinking of the color, not the thickness.
@centralpapottery I will post some pictures of how the green enamel should look for late Qing tomorrow since I have plenty on hand you will see what I’m referring too.
Similar scenes on this mid Qing Vase that I sold a month or so ago.
Here are pictures of glaze comparisons . This is a good way to compare periods of Chinese enamels.
@shine I believe your purple and green are very similar to mine, especially if I used your camera. Similar shoe too. Wasn't sure I'd find a similar shoe, ha. I was almost certain my porcelain was late Qing... excluding the decoration.:) If yours is mid Qing, I'm having less difficulty with mine being late Qing, but I have no reason why I shouldn't go with what Mark, Brian and the others say.
