Coming up is what I believe to be a genuine example of a Dragon bowl Xuantong m&p. A rare example imo.

Does anyone know anything about Oxio? They don't seem to have much sales history on Liveauctioneers, I am just curious if anyone here has worked with them?
Low estimates if this is a genuine MP. Not very often you can find Xuantong MP...
Good evening, List, and sorry to jump on an old thread. I picked up one of these Xuantong marked dragon bowls recently (see images below).
Peter is - quite reasonably - sceptical about the authenticity of the piece and points out that this kind of design belongs to earlier in the Qing period (there are examples of Jiaqing period bowls being sold at Bonhams and Oriental Art Auctions).
Has anyone come across a reputable auction house / dealer / collector with one of these from the late Qing era or marked Xuantong?
I note there is a pair for sale on Ebay marked Jiangxi Porcelain Company, which suggests a similar early 20th century date (if authentic). I think the ones on ebay may be copies. I may be being unfair, but as a ge eral rule I steer clear of listings which have their shop ID on the photo and/or start their listings with the size.
A side from ebay, I found a qianlong example sold at Roseberry's. Where did you buy yours?

The Jiangxi Porcelain Company marked pair on Ebay are listed by a private seller from NY, though I don't know anything about him or the items he sells.
I bought my bowl from Plakas in London, which have a mixed rating on Peter's report card. The listing erroneously described it as Yongzheng. The bowl itself looks used, with dints inside.
I note that Mark's original post considered that this kind of bowl could be Xuantong mark and period, but, again, I've struggled to find one in an established collection or auction house. It might be because Xuantong pieces were not historically collectable, but, on the other hand, it might be because these pieces have recently been reproduced.

If you are within convenient striking distance of Rosebery's, why not take in your bowl for Rosa Assenatto to have a look at? I'm sure she would be happy to express an opinion on it; I assume she will have been ultimately responsible for the description of the one sold at Rosebery's back in 2024 and which in many respects resembles your own. Her extensive experience in Asian Art (she went to head up Roseberry's Asian Art department from London Bonhams) gives her opinion considerable weight.
Bowls of this sort constitute a genre in which examples from the later Qing may also apparently be found. For what it's worth, and at the risk of prompting yet another thread, tthe (broadly related) type offered by Sotheby's Hong Kong (4 December 2024, lot 9316), and dated by them to the Daoguang period, looks to my eye as if it may in fact be an even later Qing product, and if so, closer still in date to the date of 1909-11 that your bowl would appear to lay claim to.
