I like your container, Todd! It reminds me of the Yokohama Kutani style, I would think late Meiji/Taisho. I couldn't find anything on the mark on the Kutani database. The characters, as it appears on your piece, are:

I couldn't tell what the ? character is, or which way you read it because the top row is "Kutani" from right to left, but I thought you usually read these marks from the right column down then left column down. I hope it helps a little bit!
