The poem is beautiful. For me it suggests looking back at the past, shrouded in mist, unreachable.

Here is my translation of the calligraphy on this scroll that I’ve owned for many years:

”Distant mountains divide the rushing waters as the wind arises and I cannot cross.

At times in this scroll I catch a glimpse of my old home lost in the thick mist.”
