The first is a rare chestnut-yellow and brownish green. Its a toggle (with hole carved through the centre of the jade). Its a carved depiction of a realistic snarling bear holding a fish with one paw nestled on its knees with the other paw wrapped around its back scratching. Note the bulging eyes, large ears, maine and long claws.

The depiction with the added fish is very rare.

The stone has natural fissues and are not cracks.

It measure just over 5cm and weighs 75 grams.

From the period of Song to Yuan (960-1368) and is based/carved on a similar styled Han period bronze figure without the fish.

Provenance: From the collection of esteemed and avid scholar of jades Mr K.Y. Thomas Kwok 1944-2017. He primarily purchased his collection in Hong Kong during the 1980's.

Purchased directly from Leonard Joel Asian Art auction acting on behalf of the estate of Mr Kwok.

The true colour is difficult to capture. This chestnut-yellow is very sought by avid collectors.

The second one is a profusely carved white hetian with slight orange skin in places namely the tail and underside, depicting a smiling boy riding a duck with its head turned inwards amongst lotus leaves and stems. Large example at 10.5cm and weighs a wopping 235 grams. No damage or repairs.

The stone is a beautiful soft white with very slight orange/russet features cleverly carved on the tail and underside.

Circa 18th/19th Century.

It's time for the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown. The bouquet is made from real dried flowers, which I received back in February, I'm certain the company that makes them dyed them to keep a more brilliant color after drying them.  When I received the bouquet, it gave me an excuse to buy another Art Deco period Morimura Brothers Noritake copper luster ovoid shape vase to display them in. The luster on this piece looks almost pinkish purple in some lights.

I normally don’t buy Imari for some reason. But, this lamp was such a good deal and was kind of interesting because of photo four so I had to buy it to find out more. Am I correct? This 14” vase is Chinese? Sorry, the red mark is almost totally drilled away. I’m hoping for thoughts on age and the decoration inside the rim. Sorry the base photo is a little darker.
