Dear Dimitri,

Julia and Alan are quite correct in that a large proportion of the Myers collection was offered at Sotheby’s London, November 2021, Another large group, including many of the pieces that failed to sell at Sotheby’s were subsequently offered at Zacke, September 2025 …

I visited their gallery in Paris on several occasions, and also viewed the collection when offered at Sotheby’s which, in the main, was unsuccessful …

The collection appeared to contain some authentic pieces but, unfortunately, also quite a number of fairly modern reproductions, so any potential purchase would need to be seen and examined very carefully …

Dear Dimitri,

As Julia mentioned earlier, the Myers collection was offered for sale a few years ago by Sotheby's, so you can be fairly confident about the authenticity of any items coming from that collection that you are now considering buying in the Zacke after-sale offer.

The only thing I would mention to you about after-sale offers made by the auction house rather than by yourself is that the auction house's asking price may be somewhat higher than you would have had to pay had you been able to bid live on the auction day. I think you might consider making an after-sale offer of your own, and see if the auction house responds favourably to it.

Best wishes,

Alan
