The 4" size ratan/bamboo replacement handle arrived for the teapot shown under the bride's maid doll went for trade title under Identify this section, worked like a charm. Since the beautiful hand drawn mark was partially illegible, according to an article on Gotheborg.com under Kutani, about 80%+ of the Japanese can't read the old marks because of the variations in the writing, I'll probably have Peter look at it eventually, but he said in Friday's video that he has a backlog at present due to illness and you may wish to wait to send things in for the identity assistance.
Just noticed something of further interest on your teapot. There is a small red mark on the base and on the underside of the lid. It is a character for the number 9. I believe the maker(s) marked the numbers to make sure the lids and pots matched during final completion. So I would think there are at least nine or possibly more than nine of these coming out of the production line that day.

@gfhandel I started thinking Kutani because of those little matching red marks, which turned a certain way looked like the kutani rolling N mark, but now I'm back to thinking Satsuma because it makes sense that the potter would have numbered the body and lid. That and the moriage on the fan shapes started me thinking Satsuma and while I did not find the exact mark in Satsuma, The Joy of Beauty, there were several marks with the lying down E. In the Japanese Porcelain by Schiffer book the decoration on a background blue plate looked closest on the decoration. Also have been looking and reading articles online, Google Lens struck out on the shape and decoration, which could be a good sign and the no Japan or Made in Japan gives me hope that it may be older. I found the sweetest miniature vase by Meiko China Occupied Japan yesterday, it has a lovely interesting shape with two gilded handles, I have a beautiful bowl with gilded handles that looked similar to old Noritaki with that pale yellow band of color near the top. Also found some old Morimura Brothers Nippon, which is Noritaki before they added the Noritaki name to the mark, I love the pale yellow bands on their old stuff and love the Noritaki from the nineteen-sixties too, pass that shell wedding dish please that every bride received, "I want a Jordan Almond," especially a lavender one, the color of my room and my senior prom dress. @sharonp I’m fairly certain the Tiny red numbers are for matching covers to the pots. I’ve seen them before.
You looked good. I was also in the class of Fall ‘62 and still have my ride. Door plate is marked San Jose Ford plant with a May 25, 1965 build date. I remember that date as well as I was 20 years old stationed at a US Navy Base in Taipei, Taiwan.

@gfhandel She's a beauty, a dear friend had a white '65 one, she named her Nellie. My prom date would have a late sixties green one, he drove an old two door Fairlane during high school, thankfully he drove his Dad's car to prom in '67. I met my husband in college and the first car we purchased together was a '67 Volkswagon bus, which routinely blew engines during long drives to the east coast during his Navy days. Traded it in for a Pinto, had a standard on the floor and I loved that little car, did not realize it was an incendiary device.I had a 4 year break between my sophmore and junior year working a variety of miserable sales jobs, which was an incentive to complete my last two years in 1 1/2 years and luckily received a job at a high paying school district, 13,000 was big teacher bucks in '75. Traded the Pinto for a '76 white Datsun 280Z with five on the floor. My husband had switched his major from Psych to electrical engineering, so it was like starting over. He said after the navy and taking orders for 4 years from people not as bright as himself, "I no longer care about helping people cope." He was caught by the lottery because we dropped out to get married and had him enrolled at a different school in St. Louis but the draft board said you'll be gone before the next semester, so if you don't want army, you better go see Navy or Air Force. His Dad was WWII Navy and enjoyed being at sea, as did my husband, wackos both enjoyed being at sea in a storm. I don't mind being at sea, but not during a storm. When it was time for baby, the Datsun was traded for a Ford Sedan and a Ford 150 truck for my husband as he was hired before graduation for his job, I rather doubt a psych major would have been hired before graduation, honors graduate in EE. Happy Days were here again and I began my favorite career as Mommy. So happy you kept your car, our son sold his black Ford Cobra convertible for as much as he paid for it when he became Daddy, he seldom drove it after marriage, so low mileage and took up needed space in the garage, baby needed his and her SUVs.
Christmas at Grandma's 1957, this is why I had braces on my teeth from 9th grade junior high until the start of my junior year in high school. This was my blue dressed bridesmaid doll, she lived in a camel back trunk that belonged to my Maternal Grandfather as a boy, he was born in 1876 and it has a small print of a Union bugle boy on the interior of the lid. My Grandfather's middle name was Lee, but for a relative, not Robert E. and his brother named sons Sherman and Grant.
