I wouldn’t have thought this vase was old at all. For my taste, the foo dog is drawn quite amateurishly. But I really don’t know, am no expert. Maybe one of the pros will chime in.

Its the only one like it I've ever seen - with a buddist lion in relief decorated in underglaze blue and red, with a translucent brown ground glaze.   Rare Chenghua seal script mark on the base.    I can take it back to about 1900 date wise from prior ownership, but lose the trail at that point.   There are more and larger photos on my ebay listing.    If anyone has ever seen another like it, please share.    The artist who made this, likely made others like it.
