I think she bought it about 20 years ago from an estate sale of someone she knew, a collector of Asian art in the NW. She might know more; I'll ask her.

I will definitely get a physical examination appraisal if she has it in her possession before 1950s.

Might be worth it to get it professionally appraised which might require a physical examination.

However I am not sure "Lin Hua" is someone copying "Huang Daozhou" or by "Huang Daozhou".  It's a gorgeous painting though.

By saying that the artist is Huang Dao Zhou Lin, does that mean it's an apocryphal signature paying homage to Huang Dao Zhou Lin, the 17th c. calligrapher?

It was drawn in 1838, 1898 or 1958 (every 60 years) summer April. By using method of Song dynasty "Chang Jiang Wang Li Tu -it's long/big picture" also recited "Tengwang_Ge_Xu". The artist is Huang Dao Zhou Lin.

Yes, it's the first photo. Unfortunately I do not have a photo of the entire companion painting, just a couple of details. 

I hope you are well.

My aunt has this large painting with script that we would like to know more about. Is it signed and what is the poem or script at the top about? It has a companion; one features more buildings than the other (my apologies for not getting a general photo of the other one, although I did get some details). As you can see, the figures are expertly rendered and lively. 

My apologies for the glare from the glass and uneven light.
