Thank you so much Julia, the ceramic decoration is very similar, but the shape of the ceramic is a little different, the metal top and the little finial on top of it is similar, except mine is dome shaped. Mine does not have a blue mark, not even sure if the squiggles on the bottom of mine is a mark. The decoration is too similar to not be connected in some way, even if someone was copying the other. You are amazing. I usedmy jewelers loupe to look at the remains of the gold side decoration on mine and it was a flower on the outline on the sides, almost scrubbed completely away. I agree I would have guessed circa 1900 on date. Thank you.

The other piece was from a local shop being sold as a mustard pot, but it is so small, much smaller than the two other old mustard pots I own. The pewter lid looks German or Dutch, but the small ceramic jar looked Asian to me. The only mark on it is the squiggle on the bottom. The small decorative spoons in my other mustard pots are too large to fit through the top of this pot, so I think its purpose was other than mustard? Both of these were inexpensive. I think the old Morimura set is before 1921, but it looks a very art deco design.  Do you think the little green jar is Asian or ceramic or European? I thought the little green jar was 25, but when I got it to the counter, they said it was only 5, yippee! The little set was on Ebay and I think it was less than 25.00 including the shipping costs. I do still enjoy combing through Ebay for old Noritake Morimura Brothers.
