Peter has just answered me! And I got the query! He said the mark is reminiant of Qianlong but due to the foot he believes it’s 19th century not 20th century.Jiajing possibly or Daoguang period. Many thanks for your replies and so happy Peter answered! God bless!

@dan12345 Generally speaking the prices haven't changed that much in the past five years for this sort of item. The chip on the RM example was very minor so I wouldn't see a big difference between what yours would bring if authentic. To that point, I would caution you about selling this at an auction house that doesn't have Asian antique expertise. Many buyers would want assurance regarding authenticity which often requires it being validated by someone with good knowledge who people feel they can trust.

@johnshoe I have put it into auction but it’s a small auction but it will be online , they don’t have a clue about Chinese porcelain prices. Hence why I want the valuation / opinion of an expert to help them. The one sold had a chip and was nearly 5 years ago. So I urgently need a current valuation and opinion which would have helped. Thanks for your answer, what do you believe it would be worth now with no chip and being 5 years late? Many thanks

@dan12345 At any rate, it certainly seems very similar to the RM example you shared. So if authentic then it would likely bring a similar price. Although I would be curious to hear what Peter thinks of it so please update us once you hear back.

@dan12345 Did you mean that your vase has already been accepted into an auction? If so, then I am confused as to what is causing the time crunch for you. Is it that you are trying to determine a reserve price for the auction? If so, then the auctioneer should be able to help you with that if they are knowledgeable about Asian art. You can just follow their lead. But generally speaking, lower estimates generate more interest and better results. Can you tell us which auction house you are working with?
