I have a couple of higher end Asian pieces that I am thinking of selling. One is a large Ming Lohan ( Ex Sotheby's) and the other an exceptional 14th century Tamil bronze from India. Any recommendations on major auction houses. It has been a while since I dealt with them. I sent a few feelers out to the midline places and was not impressed with customer service so far. Items are in storage and will post some better pics when I get a chance. These items are in the $30,000-$50,000 range. The Tamil bronze may go for$100,000 +

You know how I like old Noritake and this yellow set was very pretty Morimura Brothers and older with the Nippon mark. I think it probably came with 5 small pieces, but as is, it probably worked well for a bridge set with some Jordan Almonds or Bridge Mix for the players.

The other piece was from a local shop being sold as a mustard pot, but it is so small, much smaller than the two other old mustard pots I own. The pewter lid looks German or Dutch, but the small ceramic jar looked Asian to me. The only mark on it is the squiggle on the bottom. The small decorative spoons in my other mustard pots are too large to fit through the top of this pot, so I think its purpose was other than mustard? Both of these were inexpensive. I think the old Morimura set is before 1921, but it looks a very art deco design. Do you think the little green jar is Asian or ceramic or European? I thought the little green jar was 25, but when I got it to the counter, they said it was only 5, yippee! The little set was on Ebay and I think it was less than 25.00 including the shipping costs. I do still enjoy combing through Ebay for old Noritake Morimura Brothers.

The green is 2.5" x 1.25" at the base

The yellow bowl is 5" diameter and the small bowls are 2.75" diameter
